How to get a Madden 24 Closed Beta Code FAQs

 

Q: I signed up for a chance at future Madden NFL opportunities but I didn’t receive a code. What should I do?

A: Codes are being sent out in waves during the course of the closed beta starting 6/8 around noon, so keep checking your email for the chance to play the Madden NFL 24 Closed Beta.

 

Q: If I didn’t sign up to be included in the Madden NFL 24 Closed Beta at the registration site, what is the best way to get in the Madden NFL 24 Closed Beta?

A: Make sure to follow our social channels on Twitter (i.e. @EAMaddenNFL, etc.) as well as Creator channels (like @Shopmaster on Twitter) for a chance to get a code to participate in the Madden NFL 24 Closed Beta.

What is included in the Madden NFL Closed Beta

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to test out all-new crossplay features in Play Now, H2H Ranked, Superstar: The League, Superstar: Showdown, and Madden Ultimate Team. Crossplay will be automatically enabled when entering the closed beta. To disable cross-play, Playstation and PC users can disable the feature in their Madden NFL 24 settings. Xbox Users will have to disable crossplay from their console settings outside of Madden NFL 24.

UPDATES:

During the Madden NFL 24 Closed Beta, there will be potential for the Closed Beta to receive multiple updates. For our Franchise players, any progress made in Franchise mode will be reset after any update to the Madden NFL 24 Closed Beta.

PLAYBOOK:

There are over 500 new plays coming to Madden NFL 24. We can’t wait to cover more in the Gameplay Deep Dive. Playbooks in the closed beta are not final, and will be updated multiple times during the closed beta and prior to launch.  

Developer Tip: Start with NFC North, NFC South, NFC East, Chargers, Chiefs, Colts, and Seahawks playbooks to see some of the new plays currently in the Madden NFL 24 Closed Beta.

RULES ABOUT THE MADDEN NFL 24 CLOSED BETA

Madden NFL 24 Closed Beta is available on PS5™ and Xbox Series X|S consoles, and is also available on PC via EA app. You must be 18+ and in the U.S. or Canada to participate.

When participating in the confidential Madden NFL 24 Closed Beta, you must refrain from recording, streaming and/or capturing any portion of the closed beta. 

You also must not post videos, thoughts, discussions, screenshots or stream the closed beta on social media or the Internet. Doing so will result in removal from the closed beta as well as potential bans on all Madden NFL accounts.

MADDEN NFL 24 CLOSED BETA KNOWN ISSUES

We’ll be adding to this list as different game modes unlock during the closed beta. Be sure to check back here and stay updated before giving feedback.

Gameplay Known Issues:

  • Crash in Mini-games when going from mini-game to mini-game that have a lot of props in them
    • DEV NOTE – We have added brand new Mini-games with awesome new props. This seems to have caused some memory leaking that eventually leads to a crash. We are sorry for any inconvenience and ask for some understanding as this is an unfinished product and these are the types of issues we deal with during the development cycle. 
  • Updates to new plays and formation fixes – NEW (6/15)
  • Franchise progress will reset for all players – NEW (6/15)
  • Formation Substitution screen does not update after the user makes a substitution
  • Post Play User triggered Touchdown Celebration not triggering online
  • A series of Catch Holes (catches not playing) on offense and defense
  • Some Accurate passes are not being thrown to a catchable location (affects AI and User controlled passers)

Franchise Known Issues:

  • Player Ratings, Development Traits/Abilities and Stats are not Final.
  • Known issues with character models/gear when editing players or coaches.
  • Occasionally the backgrounds will change when going through various screens.
  • You can only invite users that are in your friends list to join an Online Franchise League.
  • Users will be unable to download or upload Draft Classes through Madden Share.

Note: The NFL Player and Rookie Ratings throughout the Madden NFL 24 Closed Beta have been scrambled/randomized and are not final.

 

FEEDBACK ON THE MADDEN NFL 24 CLOSED BETA – Answers HQ

We wanted to share a few best practices to keep in mind when coming across issues or giving feedback in general. Please keep in mind the more detailed information you can provide when reporting issues, the better our team can address them.

Below are some questions to think about when reporting an issue or providing feedback:

  • What platform are you playing on?
  • Where specifically did you see the issue? 
  • If you chose to participate on PC, please include the following in your feedback:
  • CPU:
  • RAM:
  • OS:
  • GPU:
  • DirectX Version:

The following details are extremely important:

  • Game Mode
  • Game Style (Arcade, Simulation, Competitive)
  • Game Difficulty
  • Teams Used
  • Playbook Used
  • Play call – If a specific play is not applicable, what kind of playcall are you seeing? (e.g. Screen, Play Action, Outside Run, Inside Run, etc.)
  • Any adjustments used during the play?
  • If applicable, what buttons did you press?
  • If you’re playing Franchise, are you playing an offline or online Franchise file?
  • Were you doing anything specific in-game? Is this a repeatable issue?
  • What did you do prior to identifying an issue?
  • What game settings are you using? Did you change any settings at any point?
  • Have you seen the issue before?

A: Users will be able to access the forums after they have first downloaded the beta and opened it using their EA ID, and then by following the link provided in their invite email.

Q: I WAS IMPACTED BY THE FRANCHISE SAVE ISSUE IN MADDEN NFL 23. HOW DO I GET ACCESS?

A: Make sure that the email associated with your EA Account matches what your primary email address is. If those are matching then please reach out to EAHelp.

Cross-Play FAQs: 

 

Q: What is Cross Play?

A: Cross-play will allow players to battle it out on the gridiron against opponents from other platforms in certain online multiplayer modes.


Q: Which platforms support cross-play?

A: Cross-play will be available for players only on PC, PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S.

 

Q: How do I enable cross-play?

A: Cross-play will be enabled by default when you start the game for the first time on PC, PS5™, or Xbox Series X|S. On Xbox Series X|S, cross-play settings are controlled through the system settings. On PS5 and PC, these settings are found in the in-game settings menu.

 

Q: How do I opt out of cross-play?

A: The method for disabling cross-play differs by platform. On Xbox Series X|S, this must be done through the console system settings. On PC and PS5, players can opt out of cross-play through the in-game settings menu.

 

Q: How does cross-play work?

A: Players who opt in to cross-play will automatically be added to the cross-play matchmaking pool. Cross-play invites will be available in select multiplayer modes that support inviting friends from your own platform. Players across all supported platforms can invite and join others on the same team or play against each other.

 

Q: How do I play with friends on other platforms?

A: To play with your friends, open the EA Social interface in Madden NFL 24, then navigate to the Player Search tab. Search for a player using their EA Identification number or by using their platform identifier. A player’s platform identifier is either their Xbox Series X|S gamertag or PSN ID.

 

Q: What modes will cross-play support?

A: In Madden NFL 24, you can play cross-platform in online Head-to-Head, Madden Ultimate Team™, Superstar KO, and Superstar Showdown.

 

Q: What cross-platform progression is supported?

A: Avatar progression and gear purchases within Superstar mode are shared across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

 

Q: Are leaderboards cross-platform?

A: For players who opt in to cross-play, any leaderboard in any mode that supports cross-play will be a global leaderboard that includes players from all supported platforms. Players who opt out of cross-play will only see leaderboards for players on their own platform.

 

Q: Is the Madden Ultimate Team Auction House cross-platform?

A: The MUT Auction House will not be currently shared across platforms, meaning you will not be able to use Coins to get items from users on other platforms.



Q: How will it affect wait times for matchmaking?

A: Cross-play increases player pools significantly, so that more players are looking for matches at each skill level. This should reduce wait times and lead to faster matchmaking.

 

Note: Cross-play availability can potentially be impacted on a platform by platform basis by things like planned or unplanned maintenance, server releases, Title Updates, unexpected downtime, or matchmaking updates.

Hit Everything 2.0

Hit Everything expands with new contested catch tackle types that provide more control and tackle variety on defense. Tackle animations are selected more dynamically, which unlocks new and more fluid tackle interactions like Wrap and Scoop tackles.



Skill-Based Passing 2.0

Dive for a winning one-hander with improved catching AI, thread the needle with surgical accuracy using new throw animations, and anticipate more authentic defensive reactions with enhanced DB behavior introduced in Skill-Based Passing 2.0. 

 

AI Enhancements

Smarter AI enables smoother and more realistic player action and reaction to the plays you call, providing more confidence your AI teammates will execute your gameplan the way you intend.

Mini Games

Mini-Games are also playable from the main menu and are a great way to have fun on the couch while learning how to master Madden NFL 24. With dozens of new mini-games available at launch, fans will have a variety of high scores to set across offense, defense and special teams.
